Dining on the grass is a practice popularized by the aristocracy, spreading to
from the 17th century, the period of the illustrious owner of this Château; the Marshal
Vauban.
This year, the Château de Bazoches wishes to bring this practice up to date
mundane for its visitors, on the occasion of the first weekend of summer.
The Château invites you to bring your picnic baskets for the evening as well as a drape or
a folding table and chairs so you can sit comfortably in the gardens.
On this occasion, you are invited to come dressed in your most beautiful white dress.
During this event, the Château offers the following program:
Festivities start at 6:00 p.m.
Exclusive visit to the Château and its private parts from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Stands selling local products will be present during this evening so you can put together your picnic and discover the region’s producers and specialties.
From 8 p.m., a theatrical performance of a play by Théophile Gautier, famous 19th century playwright will be given in the Château gardens by a troupe of young Burgundians “Les Jacquemards”.
A makeup workshop will also be present for the little ones, the opportunity to dress up like our group of artists.
Following this performance, you will be able to enjoy the gardens and the view of the castle at night, accompanied by a musical atmosphere, installed especially for the occasion.
A smooth end to the evening announced for midnight.

To take part in this fabulous evening at the Château de Bazoches, a reservation is required.
